Medallion Hunt

Congratulations to Peyton and Jack for finding 2025 Medallion with just two clues!
Clues are announced on KASM by 9 a.m. daily and posted on Facebook by noon daily until the Medallion is found!
​The Medallion Hunt starts the Wednesday prior to Heritage Day, which will be Wed, July 29, 2026!
Winner gets $50 in Albany Chamber Bucks

5K & 1K Run/Walk

The 1K & 5K were very successful events in 2025, which raises funds annually for Albany Area Early Learning Center.
2026 1K & 5K will be coming soon. Registration is at 7 a.m. on Sat, Aug 1, 2026.
1K starts at 8:00 a.m. at Legion Park
5k starts at 8:15 a.m. at Legion Park

Bean Bag Toss

Such a great annual Bean Bag Tournament!
Join all the great teams for some fun, friendly, competition on Heritage Day! Reach out to Sheri at Rookies Sports Bar for details.
Registration usually begins at 12:00 p.m. on Sat, Aug 1, 2026.
Tournament begins at 1:00 p.m.
Located at Rookies Sports Bar and 5th St.

Parade 

Our Parade Theme for 2025 was "King of the Jungle" which was a huge hit! So many fun themed costumes and floats! 
Our 2026 theme will be announced soon.
Parade starts at 7:00 p.m. annually and runs West on Railroad Avenue, North on 6th St. and East on Forest Ave.

Live Music

In 2025, we had live music by Stone Road 
playing the best of 80s, 90s & Country, which drew one of our largest crowds yet to Heritage days! 
We will soon be announcing our 2026 Live Band Choice for Sat, Aug 1, 2026, which plays 
​8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. at Legion Park. 

Fireworks

Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
Our 2025 fireworks were displayed over Albany's golf course. They were spectacular, as always due to the sponsorship of 
the Albany Jaycees and Albany Lions
Our 2026 Fireworks are scheduled for
Sat, Aug 1, 2026, at 10pm, which can be viewed from Legion Park.

Craft & Vendor Fair
The 2025 Softball tournament was held on Friday and Saturday, Aug 1-2 at North Park. This is a double elimination bracket with 100% payout was so much fun to play in - and watch!  Teams played Friday night, starting at 5pm and again on Saturday morning, starting at 8am, with the tournament done by 6pm for everyone to enjoy the parade with family and friends!  Concessions were also available.
2026 Tournament will be held again on Friday, July 31 and Sat, Aug 1.

Our first annual Heritage Day Pickleball Tournament was held at North Park in Albany on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The event was a huge success, and we are planning for our 2026 event to be a 2-day event on July 31 & Aug 1. Net proceeds go back to the Albany Area Chamber.

The annual Heritage Day Craft and Vendor Fair on Sat, Aug 2, 2025, held at Legion Park was such a great event! The vendor fair was highly attended, and our vendors were very satisfied with all the customer participation! 
2026 Vendor Fair will be on Sat, Aug 1 at Legion Park in Albany from 12-4pm. Registration will open soon.
