Medallion Hunt

Congratulations to Peyton and Jack for finding 2025 Medallion with just two clues!
Clues are announced on KASM by 9 a.m. daily and posted on Facebook by noon daily until the Medallion is found!
​The Medallion Hunt starts the Wednesday prior to Heritage Day, which will be Wed, July 29, 2026!
Winner gets $50 in Albany Chamber Bucks

5K & 1K Run/Walk

The 1K & 5K were very successful events in 2025, which raises funds annually for Albany Area Early Learning Center.
2026 1K & 5K will be coming soon.

Bean Bag Toss

Such a great annual Bean Bag Tournament!
Join all the great teams for some fun, friendly, competition on Heritage Day! Reach out to Sheri at Rookies Sports Bar for details.
Registration usually begins at 12:00 p.m. on Sat, Aug 1, 2026.
Tournament begins at 1:00 p.m.

Parade 

Parade at 7pm
Our Parade Theme for 2026 will  be "Heritage & Freedom: 250 Years" to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. .
Parade is on Saturday, August 1st and starts at 7:00 p.m. and runs West on Railroad Avenue, North on 6th St. and East on Forest Ave. 
You must be registered to participate in the parade.

Live Music

Crash Course
We’re excited to announce that Crash Course will be performing live at Heritage Day! Get ready for an unforgettable show featuring the best hits from the ’70s and ’80s. With this crowd-favorite band taking the stage, Heritage Day is expected to attract one of its largest audiences yet!
Crash Course will play on Sat, Aug 1, 2026, following the parade from ​8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. at Legion Park. 

Fireworks

Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
Our 2025 fireworks were displayed over Albany's golf course. They were spectacular, as always due to the sponsorship of the Albany Jaycees and Albany Lions.
Our 2026 Fireworks are scheduled for
Sat, Aug 1, 2026, at 10pm, which can be viewed from Legion Park.

Craft & Vendor Fair
The 2nd Annual Softball tournament will be Friday and Saturday, July 31-Aug 1 at North Park. This is a double elimination bracket with 100% payout. Teams play Friday night, starting at 5pm and again on Saturday morning, starting at 8am, with the tournament done by 6pm for everyone to enjoy the parade with family and friends!  Concessions are also available.
2026 Tournament will be held again on Friday, July 31 and Sat, Aug 1.

Our 2nd Annual Heritage Day Pickleball Tournament will be held at North Park in Albany on Saturday, August 1. Net proceeds go back to the Albany Area Chamber.

The 2nd Annual Heritage Day Craft and Vendor Fair will be held on Saturday, August 1, at Legion Park. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon featuring a variety of craft and vendor booths, delicious food vendors, and exciting activities for kids. This highly anticipated community event offers something for everyone and consistently draws great customer participation. Bring your family and friends and join us for an afternoon of shopping, entertainment, and fun!​
2026 Vendor Fair will be on Sat, Aug 1 at Legion Park in Albany from 12-4pm. Registration is available here. 

Kids Activities

Join us for our 2nd Annual action-packed afternoon of family fun on Saturday, August 1, from 12:00–6:00 p.m. at Legion Park! We have an exciting lineup of activities planned for children of all ages.
Kids' wristbands are just $10 each* and include unlimited access to games, prizes, inflatable bounce houses, a 25-foot rock climbing wall, face painting by Shelly, Crazy Hair, Erickson's Petting Zoo, balloon twisting with Clueless the Clown, music from DJ Pete Nelson, Kids' Pedal Pull, military displays, and Firefighter Safety activities with giveaways.
Don't miss this fun-filled day of entertainment, adventure, and family-friendly excitement!
