Medallion Hunt

Congratulations to Connor and Andrew for finding 2026 Medallion!
Clues are announced on KASM by 9 a.m. daily and posted on Facebook by noon daily until the Medallion is found!
​The Medallion Hunt starts the Wednesday prior to Heritage Day, which will be Wed, Aug 4, 2027!
Winner gets $50 in Albany Chamber Bucks

5K & 1K Run/Walk

The 1K & 5K were very successful events in 2025, which raises funds annually for Albany Area Early Learning Center.
2026 1K & 5K will be coming soon. 
1K starts at 8:00 a.m. at Legion Park

Bean Bag Toss

Such a great annual Bean Bag Tournament!
Join all the great teams for some fun, friendly, competition on Heritage Day! Reach out to Sheri at Rookies Sports Bar for details.
Registration usually begins at 12:00 p.m. on Sat, Aug 7, 2027.
Tournament begins at 1:00 p.m.

Parade 

Parade at 7pm
Our Parade Theme for 2026 was "Heritage & Freedom: 250 Years" to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. .
Parade will be on Saturday, August 7th and starts at 7:00 p.m. and runs West on Railroad Avenue, North on 6th St. and East on Forest Ave. 
You must be registered to participate in the parade.  
Parade registration will be available closer to the event date.

Live Music

Crash Course
We were excited to have Crash Course perform live at Heritage Day in 2026! It was an unforgettable show featuring the best hits from the ’70s and ’80s. With this crowd-favorite band taking the stage, Heritage Day had one of its largest audiences yet!
Heritage Day will have live music on Sat, Aug 7, 2027, following the parade from ​8:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. at Legion Park. 

Fireworks

Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
Our 2026 fireworks were displayed over Albany's golf course and they were spectacular as always due to the sponsorship of the Albany Jaycees and Albany Lions.
Our 2027 Fireworks are scheduled for
Sat, Aug 7, 2027, at 10pm, which can be viewed from Legion Park. 

Softball Tournament

Craft & Vendor Fair
The 3rd Annual Softball tournament will held be Friday and Saturday, Aug 6 - Aug 7 at North Park. This is a 10-team, double elimination bracket with 100% payout. Teams play Friday night, starting at 5pm and again on Saturday morning, starting at 8am, with the tournament done by 6pm for everyone to enjoy the parade with family and friends!  Concessions are also available.
2027 Tournament will be held again on Friday, Aug 6 and Sat Aug 7, 2027.

We had over 60 people participate in our 2nd Annual Heritage Day Pickleball Tournament at North Park in Albany, which was fantastic!
Our 3rd Annual Heritage Day Pickleball Tournament will be on Saturday, August 7, 2027, at North Park in Albany,   
Registration for our Annual Pickleball Tournament at North Park will be available closer to event date. 
The 3rd Annual Heritage Day Craft and Vendor Fair will be held on Saturday, August 7, at Legion Park. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon featuring a variety of craft and vendor booths, delicious food vendors, and exciting activities for kids. This highly anticipated community event offers something for everyone and consistently draws great customer participation. Bring your family and friends and join us for an afternoon of shopping, entertainment, and fun!​
2026 Vendor Fair will be on Sat, Aug 7 at Legion Park in Albany from 12-5pm. Registration will be available closer to event date. 

Kids Activities

Our 2nd Annual action-packed afternoon of family fun took place on Saturday from 12:00–6:00 p.m. at Legion Park! We had an exciting lineup of activities for children of all ages.
Kids’ wristbands were just $10 each* and included unlimited access to games, prizes, inflatable bounce houses, a 25-foot rock climbing wall, face painting by Shelly, Crazy Hair, Erickson’s Petting Zoo, balloon twisting with Clueless the Clown, music from DJ Pete Nelson, the Kids’ Pedal Pull, military displays, and Firefighter Safety activities with giveaways.
Our 3rd Annual Family Activities are scheduled for Saturday, Aug 7 from 12:00–6:00 p.m. at Legion Park!
